We guarantee that our clothing will outperform membrane garments in the majority of wet weather.
No clothing system is able to keep you dry in all possible situations: water may enter down the neck or sleeves. Also, please be aware that our garments have a low resistance to water pressure even though they will protect you from stormy weather. If you sit in a puddle you will force water through... though the fabrics will dry very quickly.
Please consider testing your new garment under a shower or garden hose before taking it into the hills. We will give you a full refund if you are not happy with the results. (Please keep garments away from soaps or detergents as they are detrimental to their durable water repellency.)
If you find that, for whatever reason, your FurTech garment doesn't meet your needs, even after you have worn it, return it to us clean, dry and undamaged, within 28 days of delivery, for a 75% refund.
We guarantee that the performance of our garments can be maintained for many years by cleaning and re-proofing using wash-in products available from good outdoor shops. Our favourite is Granger's 2in1. Please see this link for a report from Trail Magazine Download trail_proofing_story.pdf
We have used and abused one garment fairly continuously since 1992 and, with repairs and re-proofs it remains storm proof!
We guarantee that any manufacturing defect will be repaired, or the garment replaced, free of charge, at our discretion. Damage due to normal wear and tear can be repaired by us for a reasonable charge, but home or field repairs are simple to carry out: the outer and inner layers should be sewn separately, ideally followed by a clean and re-proof. Poor repairs or modifications may invalidate this guarantee, though we will make all practical efforts to rectify any mistakes that are made.
This guarantee is limited to the garment and excludes consequential damages. It does not effect your statutory rights.
